Put the cover on when you are not swimming. Set the pump to a lower speed for longer, instead of a noisy blast for a few hours. Keep the filter clean so the pump is not fighting a blockage. If you heat, heat with a cover on and pick a heat pump unless you only need the water hot for a day or two.
